Sharks Visit Anaheim in Pacific Showdown

San Jose Sharks (14-10-0–28 pts., 2nd Pacific)
Anaheim Ducks (9-12-5–23 pts., 5th Pacific)
7:30pm, CSN California, 98.5 KFOX, Sharks Radio Network

Team Teal heads down to Southern California for a short one game road trip in Anaheim as they take on a struggling Ducks squad. Each team has won once by shutout so far in the season series.

San Jose is hoping a quick road game will help them get back on track of solid game play. The Sharks will go for it’s 8th straight victory on the road. However, while the team has still won seven of it’s last nine games, they have lost two of its last three against high powered opponents; looking bad in those two matches.

For the Sharks, we expect this lineup tonight:
Karlsson – Thornton – Pavelski
Donskoi – Marleau – Ward
Nieto – Hertl – Wingels
Haley – Zubrus – Brown

Vlasic – Braun
Martin – Burns
Dillon – Tennyson

Jones (confirmed starter)

Stalock

As for Quackaheim, they have started to claw their way back to semi-respectability. To think of the talent the Ducks have and wouldn’t be winning is just dumb. But their play has been inconsistent.

Anaheim lost to Tampa 2-1 on Wednesday night knocking their record to 1-1-1 on their current homestand. John Gibson, a goalie that should be in the NHL full time, is up from AHL San Diego, filling in for Frederik Andersen, will get the start.

This begins a back to back for San Jose. But first a huge game that could keep the Sharks within pace of first place Los Angeles, while Anaheim is hoping to keep pace of San Jose for a playoff spot.
