Here is a quick summary of how the San Jose Sharks prospects fared in the CHL playoffs on March 26th. 2016.
#1 Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 6
#16 Drummondville Voltigeurs 0 (Huskies lead series 2-0)
The Voltigeurs are yet to score a goal in this series as they have been outscored 16-0 in two games. Timo Meier scored a goal and added two power play assists bringing his series point total to seven (4 goals, 3 assists). Meier was also named the games third star.
#2 Shawinigan Cataractes 3
#15 Sherbrooke Phoenix 2 (Series tied 1-1)
The Cataractes had three unanswered goals in the 3rd period to come back and win the game 3-2 and even up their series with the Phoenix. Cavan Fitzgerald of the Cataractes added two assists on the game-tying and game-winning goal. Sharks prospect Jeremy Roy has yet to suit up for the Phoenix.
#9 Charlottetown Islanders 5
#8 Rimouski Oceanic 4 (1st. OT) (Series tied 1-1)
Alexis Vanier scored two goals including the overtime winner as the Charlottetown Islanders won a high scoring affair with the defending QMJHL champion Rimouski Oceanic. Vanier was also named the first star of the night.

#2 Barrie Colts 5
#7 Mississauga Steelheads 2 (Colts lead series 1-0)
After their initial matchup was postponed due to an electrical issue the series finally got underway las night and the Sharks prospects did not disappoint. Dylan Sadowy had two goals and Kevin Labanc got a goal and an assist as the Colts jumped out to the series lead taking game one by a 5-2 score. Dylan Sadowy would be named the game’s third star.
Eastern Conference – Central Division
#3 Calgary Hitmen 5
#2 Red Deer Rebels 2 (Series Tied 1-1)
Adam Helewka had a goal but was minus two in a losing effort against the Calgary Hitmen as they evened their series at one game apiece. The Hitmen would score the first goal before Helewka tied it midway through the first period, the Rebels would not see a lead in this game. Helewka has three goals in two games so far this series.
Western Conference – US Division
#2 Everett Silvertips 3
#3 Portland Winterhawks 1 (Silvertips lead series 2-0)
The Winterhawks would drop their second game of the series after giving up 37 shots on goal to the Everett Silvertips. Alex Schoenborn was held off the scoresheet except for his four penalty minutes.
Western Conference – BC Division
#3 Kamloops Blazers 5
#2 Kelowna Rockets 4 (Series tied 1-1)
Rourke Chartier was named the first star of the game with a goal and an assist finishing with a +2 rating, unfortunately, it would not be enough as the Blazers would edge the Rockets with a 5-4 victory. Both teams would take 44 shots on in what was a wild game the difference ultimately ended up being special teams as the Rockets would go 0/6 on the Powerplay while Kamloops would be 3/7.
