Series Changing Game 4 Tonight Between Sharks & Kings

With one extra hit, led to a retaliatory hit back, led to one odd man rush, led to one overtime goal, that leads Los Angeles right back into this series. So we head to Game 4 tonight in San Jose with the Sharks leading 2-1 in the series and with the road team being victorious every game. If you recall, three years ago when these two teams met in the Western Conference Semifinals, every home team won. That’s the Stanley Cup Playoffs for you, it can never be predictable.

San Jose is sticking with the same lineup from the first three games. Which makes me wonder if Dainius Zubrus is injured. Nonetheless, Team Teal will go with:

Hertl – Thornton – Pavelski
Donskoi – Couture – Ward
Karlsson – Marleau – Nieto
Spaling – Tierney – Wingels

Vlasic – Braun
Martin – Burns
Dillon – Polak

Dainius Zubrus, Micheal Haley, Dylan DeMelo will be healthy scratches. Los Angeles will likely be without defenseman Alec Martinez.

For Los Angeles, they were quick to remind the media that the Sharks must be thinking about the past after this recent defeat. Nothing will shut up the pessimists, media, the Kings and their fans with a big Sharks victory on home ice to put Los Angeles on the brink of elimination.

Jonathan Quick has found his stride in this series and Dustin Brown is legally throwing his body around. Los Angeles went around throwing their body to get the Sharks off their game. San Jose must try to get back into their groove for a momentum shifting Game 4. Win and Team Teal is up 3-1 going back to Los Angeles. Lose and the series is tied and the scrutiny will be magnified.
