San Jose Sharks Look to Establish More Consistent Play Against Red Wings

San Jose Sharks Host Struggling Detroit Red Wings

The San Jose Sharks come into tonight’s game on a three-game losing streak. In a game that saw them blow two two-goal leads in the third after an otherwise defensively sound game against the Minnesota Wild, the Sharks will be looking to establish a more consistent rhythm against a struggling Detroit Red Wings team, which broke a two-game skid in a 4-0 win against the Los Angeles Kings. They are 3-3-1 in their last seven games.

The Sharks are still missing David Schlemko (upper body) and Marc-Edouard Vlasic (face), as well as Tomas Hertl (right knee sprain).

The Red Wings are hurting on all fronts; Brendan Smith has an upper body injury. Justin Abdelkader is dealing with a sprained MCL. Mike Green‘s injury is undisclosed. Jimmy Howard also has a sprained MCL. Darren Helm has a disclosed shoulder. Niklas Kronwall has a lower body injury, and Joey Vitale is dealing with a concussion.
