DeMelo Out Eight Weeks After Hurting De-Wrist

Next man up.  That’s what it has been lately for the defensemen in the Sharks organization.  Now the third defenseman to be injured within a month.  Dylan DeMelo an unpenalized slash on Tuesday in Edmonton in the second period.  He did not return to the game.

On Thursday, DeMelo had surgery to repair damage to his wrist per Doug Wilson in a press release from the organization.

So who is the next man up?  Well, looks like Mirco Mueller gets into the lineup.  Rookie Tim Heed, who played his first NHL game on Wednesday in Calgary will also get looks with David Schlemko out of the lineup.  Marc-Edouard Vlasic who had facial lacerations and fractures, recently returned to the lineup after missing ten days.
