Mueller Sent to Barracuda… For Now

The San Jose Sharks reassigned defenseman defenseman Mirco Mueller to the San Jose Barracuda, general manager Doug Wilson announced Friday afternoon.

This is likely to give Mueller some playing time as the Barracuda will take on the Ontario Reign in Southern California tonight.  Expect Mirco to be recalled by the Sharks to have seven defensemen on hand.  With Dylan DeMelo out for two months and David Schlemko on injured reserve and Paul Martin unable to go Wednesday night in Calgary, Mueller’s services will be needed.

Of course, Mueller technically played one minute in Wednesday night’s game, but was deemed ineligible due to a lineup snafu due to a last minute change.
