San Jose Sharks Visit The Colorado Avalanche
The San Jose Sharks head on the road to face-off against The Colorado Avalanche today which will be the Sharks second game in three nights.
The first of these two meetings took place Saturday night where the Sharks played host to the Avs at Sap Center. Although the Avalanche have not lived up to their expectations so far this season, they outplayed the Sharks most of the night but lost to San Jose 3-2 in Overtime with David Schlemko scoring the deciding goal.
Tomas Hertl is closer and closer to returning which is a great thing for San Jose. He flew with the team to Colorado but is not expected to play. Timo Meier, who was a scratch on Saturdays game, will draw back into the lineup. Spencer Martin will be in goal again for Colorado. The Avs goalie has played only one other NHL game which was Saturday against the Sharks.
San Jose sits only one point back from Anaheim for first place in the Pacific Division. A win tonight, with an Anaheim loss, would not only put San Jose back in first but would make it five wins in a row.
